Shabbir Shah expresses concern over increasing incidents of Indian state terrorism in the IIOJK

In illegally occupied Indian Jammu and Kashmir, Democratic Freedom Party of Jammu and Kashmir chairman Shabbir Ahmed Shah has expressed deep concern over the upsurge in Indian state terrorism incidents and the rapid deterioration the political and human rights situation in the territory.

In his message from Tihar Jail in New Delhi, the incarcerated leader said that on the one hand, India allowed its forces to kill innocent Kashmiris, while on the other hand it shamelessly used anti-terrorism laws to silence legitimate political voices.

Condemning the life imprisonment of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik, he said, Malik’s unjust conviction and denial of the right to a fair trial speaks volumes about how which India uses its state apparatus to crush the legitimate political struggle for the right to self-determination. .

On the recent increase in killings of young people in Kashmir, Shah said the systematic killing of civilians, especially young people, is part of the Indian government’s deep-rooted conspiracy to change the demography of Kashmir.

He urged the international community to take full note of the escalating human rights violations in the troubled region.
