Shabbir Shah concerned over rise of Indian state terrorism in IIOJK – Kashmir Media Service

New Delhi, Nov 12 (KMS): Incarcerated senior All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader Shabbir Ahmad Shah has expressed deep concern over the rise of Indian state terrorism in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. India.

Shabbir Ahmad Shah, in a message from the notorious Tihar prison in New Delhi, strongly denounced the relentless killing of young Kashmiris by Indian troops and the illegal confiscation of civilian property by the occupation authorities. He said Indian troops operating under the shield of draconian laws have unleashed a reign of terror in the occupied territory.

APHC chief says innocent people are being harassed and humiliated in cordon and search operations, while murdering youths in fake encounters, enforced disappearances and confiscating civilians’ property are used by the India as a tactic of war to suppress the legitimate struggle of Kashmiris for the right to self-determination. He lamented that the Indian government is terrorizing the families of Hurriyat rulers by seizing their homes and properties which they have legally inherited or purchased.

Shabbir Shah called the recent killing of youths in different areas of the occupied territory as part of the Indian government’s systematic campaign of genocide. He called on the international community to hold India accountable for its brutality on the innocent people of Kashmir.

The APHC leader also strongly denounced the continued illegal detention of Kashmiri Hurriyat leaders, human rights defenders, journalists and civil society activists who were arrested before and after August 5, 2019. He said the Indian government was using the detentions as a tool to drown out the Kashmiri voice for freedom. However, he made it clear that such tactics would not deter the Kashmiri people from continuing their struggle for freedom.
