The trailer for Shoojit’s “Sardar Udham SIngh” Sircar has finally been released and Vicky Kaushal’s brilliant performance as a revolutionary freedom fighter is sure to impress you.

The trailer promises a siege edge tale revolving around the life of the late revolutionary freedom fighter Sardar Udham Singh who assassinated the Lieutenant Governor of the Punjab at the time of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in Amritsar, Michael O’Dwyer.

Earlier, the actor shared a teaser for the film that gave us a glimpse into the kind of life Sardar Udham Singh was leading. He took to his social media and shared the video with the caption: “His name etched in our history, his mission rocked the entire nation. Sardar Udham Singh, a gallant and patriotic man who selflessly and courageously fought against the British subjugation of India. The film focuses on Sardar Udham’s undeterred mission to avenge the lives of his beloved brothers who were brutally killed in the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in 1919.

This is the first time that Vicky Kaushal has collaborated with filmmaker Shoojit Sircar. Besides Vicky, the film also features Shaun Scott, Stephen Hogan, Banita Sandhu, Kirsty Averton, and Amol Parashar in key roles.

Meanwhile, on the job front, Vicky was supposed to reunite with her “Uri: The Surgical Strike” director Aditya Dhar for “The Immortal Ashwatthama” starring Sara Ali Khan. However, the project would have been abandoned.

Besides “Sardar Udham”, Vicky will also be seen in Karan Johar’s period drama “Takht”. The film boasts of a star cast including Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Bhumi Pednekar, Janhvi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor.
