JP Nadda pays tribute to freedom fighter Sukhdev at his ancestral home

On Saturday, Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) National Chairman Jagat Prakash Nadda visited the ancestral home of freedom fighter Sukhdev Thapar in Mohalla Naughara, Punjab and paid tribute to the brave heart of India, a day before his birthday of birth by garlanding his statue. At the birthplace of freedom fighter Sukhdev, hundreds of workers and supporters gathered together with the BJP national chairman to pay their respects. After losing the Punjab Assembly elections, Nadda embarked on a one-day tour of the state for the first time.

Nadda shared photos of himself paying tribute to the freedom fighter. He wrote: “Arrived at Mohalla Naughara, the birthplace of the great revolutionary martyr Sukhdev Thapar ji, the great hero of Indian freedom struggle and who sacrificed his life for the country, paid homage to him. The sacrifice of Shaheed Sukhdev ji will remain an inspiration to all Indians for centuries.”

Descendants of freedom fighter Sukhdev welcome JP Nadda

When the BJP Chairman arrived at the ancestral home of Shaheed Sukhdev Thapar, his descendants Ashok Thapar, Sandeep Thapar and Akshit Thapar welcomed him. After paying tribute to martyr Sukhdev, BJP Chairman JP Nadda remarked that Sukhdev Thapar’s contribution to the country’s independence, along with those of his friends Bhagat Singh and Rajguru, is an inspiration to everyone. When Nadda came to Sukhdev Thapar, he said that’s where he gets his inspiration from.

Speaking of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev, he said they are people who have given their all for the country and “may God grant us the same strength to build a mighty nation”. He said tomorrow marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Shaheed Sukhdev Thapar and they swear that what people like Sukhdev Ji have given up will not be taken back and they will leave nothing to chance in their efforts to strengthen the country.

Nadda also said that he had spoken with the members of the Sukhdev Thapar Trust and that they would be provided with the necessary facilities. The BJP leader also said it was an honor for him to visit Sukhdev Ji’s ancestral home and expressed his joy. He further stated that the people of India will always remember the sacrifices of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev.
