The Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) of Jammu and Kashmir, Democratic Political Movement (DPM) and APHC leader Khadim Hussain condemned the growing incidents of Indian state terrorism and the continued killing of Indian troops in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
In a statement released in Srinagar on Monday, DFP spokesperson Arshad Iqbal, while expressing his party’s grave concern over the deteriorating human rights situation in the territory, said the continued The violence and bloodshed posed a grave existential threat to Kashmiris who have been reeling from India’s relentless and brutal repression over the past decades.
Calling the recent murder of youths in Kulgam and other valley areas the Indian government’s systematic genocide campaign, the DFP leader called on the international human rights organization to take stock of the situation and to help end the barbaric brutality inflicted on the Kashmiri people. . He said Indian troops operating under the shield of draconian laws have unleashed a reign of terror in occupied Kashmir. “Innocent people are harassed and humiliated in cordon and search operations, while extrajudicial executions, enforced disappearances, rapes and murders of youths in fake encounters are used by India as a tactic of war to suppress the legitimate struggle of Kashmiris for freedom”.
The spokesperson also dismissed the recent report of the so-called K-Boundary Commission and called it a plot to minimize the role of Kashmiri Muslims in decision-making and subjugate them to a minority community. The people of Kashmir, he said, have time and again foiled such conspiracies to disempower Kashmiri Muslims who simply refused to accept Indian dictates. The DFP spokesman expressed his condolences on the death of freedom movement leader Ghulam Hassan Lone.
