DFP Condemns Continued Indian State Terrorism in IIOJK

In illegally Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) of Jammu and Kashmir has condemned the continued incidents of Indian state terrorism and the granting of voting rights to Indian citizens in the internationally recognized disputed territory.

The lawyer for DFP Spokesperson Arshad Iqbal in a statement released in Srinagar, while expressing his party’s grave concern over the worsening human rights abuses in the IIOJK, said that continued Indian military violence and bloodshed posed a grave existential threat to Kashmiris reeling from India’s brutal repression. .

Calling the killing and arrest of civilians part of the Indian government’s systematic campaign of genocide, he called on international human rights organizations to take stock of the situation and help end the inhumane and violent brutality being committed. by Indian forces at IIOJK.

“Innocent people are being harassed and humiliated in so-called cordon and search operations, while extrajudicial executions, enforced disappearances and the killing of youths in fake encounters are used by India as a tactic of war to suppress the legitimate struggle of Kashmiris for the right to self-determination,” he said.

The spokesperson also took the granting of voting rights to Indian citizens seriously and called it a plot to minimize the role of Kashmiri Muslims in decision-making and subjugate them to a minority community.—KMS
