DFP concerned over rising incidents of Indian state terrorism in IIOJK – Kashmir Media Service

Srinagar, Jul 17 (KMS): In illegally Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) of Jammu and Kashmir has strongly condemned the growing incidents of Indian state terrorism and the continuous slaughter of civilians by the Indian troops in the territory.

The DFP, in a statement issued in Srinagar expressing grave concern over the deteriorating human rights situation in the IIOJK, said the continued violence and bloodshed in the troubled region deserves the urgent attention of the global community.

Calling the recent killing of youths in different parts of the valley the Indian government’s systematic genocide campaign, he called on international human rights organizations to take stock of the situation and help end the Indian atrocities in occupied territory.

He said Indian troops, operating under the shield of draconian laws, have unleashed a reign of terror in Kashmir. “Innocent people are being harassed and humiliated in cordon and search operations, while extrajudicial executions, enforced disappearances and the killing of youths in fake encounters are used by India as a tactic of war to suppress the struggle legitimate Kashmiris for the right to self-determination,” the DFP lamented.

He also expressed concern over the continued illegal detention of his party’s chairman, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, and other Hurriyat leaders, rights defenders, journalists and civil society activists, who were arrested before and after on August 5, 2019, when the fascist Indian government led by Modi repealed the Kashmir law. special status and military siege imposed on the territory.
