APHC urges the world to help end Indian state terrorism

Leaders of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) and its constituent organizations, condemning the wave of killings and arrests unleashed by Indian forces personnel in illegally Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir, have urged the Nations United Nations and the global community to play a role in bringing an immediate halt to Indian state terrorism in the territory.

Hurriyat leaders and organizations including Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party, Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League and Muslim League of Jammu and Kashmir have expressed in their separate statements serious concerns about the continued bloodshed and killings in the IIOJK. They said the subjugated Kashmiris had been left at the mercy of more than a million Indian soldiers, paramilitaries and police.

Paying rich tributes to the youth martyred by Indian troops in June, the releases lamented that the people of Kashmir were even denied the right to bury loved ones and funeral prayer stalls banned.

They said that the fascist Indian government led by the Hindutva BJP must realize that the repressive measures have not worked for them and that the brave people of Kashmir have defeated the illegal Indian occupation morally and politically.

The statements urged UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres to take notice of Indian brutality at the IIOJK.

They added that the international community could not remain a silent spectator in such a serious situation. It is his responsibility to persuade India to enter into a dialogue for the settlement of the lingering conflict in Kashmir and to give the people of Jammu and Kashmir a chance to decide for themselves their political future.—KMS
