APHC leaders concerned about upsurge of Indian state terrorism in IIOJK – Kashmir Media Service

Srinagar, Jan 01 (KMS): In illegally Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir, All Parties Hurriyat conference leaders Farida Bahenji and Yasmeen Raja have expressed grave concern over the rise of terrorism in Indian state in the territory.

Farida Bahenji and Yasmeen Raja, in a joint statement released in Srinagar, described the situation in the occupied territory as extremely grim with regard to the protection of civilians.

They said Kashmiris faced so-called cordon and search operations by Indian troops, raids by India’s notorious National Investigation Agency, dismissal of government employees, arrest students, businessmen, journalists, lawyers, intellectuals and political activists.

APHC leaders said the fascist Modi government was victimizing the people of the IIOJK for claiming their right to self-determination and attempting to communalise all institutions in the territory.

They said extrajudicial executions, arbitrary arrests, torture, mistreatment of women, banning of political activities and violation of all basic human rights by Indian troops had become the norm in the occupied territory. They urged UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres to immediately take note of the systematic genocide of Kashmiris by Indian forces in the IIOJK and to pressure India to give the Kashmiri people the right to decide his own political future.
