APHC deplores global silence on Indian state terrorism at IIOJK
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – October 16, 2021): In illegally occupied Indian Jammu and Kashmir, the Hurriyat Conference of all parties lamented the criminal silence adopted by the international community on India’s worst state terrorism in progress in the territory.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the APHC spokesperson in a statement issued in Srinagar said Indian troops and police personnel are killing, arresting and torturing innocent Kashmiris and destroying civilian homes daily during cordon operations. and search through occupied territory to quell their ongoing struggle for freedom.
He said several young people have been killed while more than 1,000 people have been arrested in recent days, but the global community was acting as a silent bystander.
He urged the United Nations to hold India accountable for its brutalities in the IIOJK and to play a role in resolving the dispute in Kashmir in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiris.
Meanwhile, the occupation authorities once again did not allow people to offer congregational Juma prayers to Jamia Masjid in Srinagar on Friday. Authorities continued to deploy Indian troops and police personnel in force around the historic mosque to prevent people from fulfilling their religious obligation.
Posters appeared in the IIOJK calling on the valiant Kashmiri people to stand up against India’s continued illegal occupation of their homeland.
Posters pasted by students and the Jammu and Kashmir Youth Forum said it was high time for the oppressed people of the IIOJK to demonstrate an open challenge against India and demand their right to internationally recognized age of self-determination.
Indian troops continued their cordon and search operations in Poonch and Rajouri districts while the Poonch-Rajouri-Jammu highway has remained closed since last night.
A report released today by Kashmir Media Service said India was planning another state-sponsored terrorist attack in the IIOJK to defame Pakistan and the ongoing Kashmir liberation movement. He said that in the past India had attempted to involve Pakistan in false flag operations without providing concrete evidence.
The report maintained that by involving Pakistan in another false flag operation, the fascist government of India led by Modi wants to put Islamabad on the Financial Action Task Force’s blacklist.
On the other hand, India slipped to the 101st position among 116 countries in the 2021 Global Hunger Index compared to its 2020 ranking of 94.
A report, jointly prepared by the Irish aid agency Concern Worldwide and the German organization Welthungerhilfe, called the level of hunger in India alarming.
