Al-Quds Day celebrated against Israeli state terrorism in Palestine


KARACHI – As in other parts of the country, rallies and seminars were held in the port city on Friday to mark International Quds Day.

The Imamia Student Organization (ISO) organized a gathering of Numaish Chowanrgi at the Tibbat Center on the occasion of Jummatul Wida, celebrated annually as Al Quds Day. People from all walks of life participated in the rally.

Participants carried placards and waved slogans against crimes against humanity perpetrated by Israel and supported by the United States. They also continued to chant slogans against Israel and the United States.

Participants at the rally called on Muslim leaders to play their role for the freedom of Baitul Muqaddas by supporting the oppressed Palestinians.

The resolution, calling on Muslim leaders around the world to give their full support to Palestinians who were the target of Israeli forces, was adopted at the rally. Participants also announced their support for Islamic movements led in Yemen, Bahrain, Nigeria and organizations like Hamas and Hezbollah. Besides the central procession in Karachi, International Quds Day rallies were held in major cities and towns in Pakistan including Islamabad, Lahore, Quetta, Gilgit-Baltistan, Parachinar, Peshawar, Multan, DI Khan, Faisalabad, Jhang , Layyah, Bakkhar, Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, Nawabshah, Larkana, Sukkur, Kandhkot, Jacobabad, Shikarpur, Naushero Feroze Under the aegis of ISO Pak and Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen.


In his message on Quds Day, MWM leader Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari said the great revolutionary leader Imam Khomeini called for the observance of Quds Day to rekindle the otherwise dead question of Palestine. He said Pakistan’s founding fathers Mohammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Iqbal also opposed the Jewish state over Palestine, hence the Pakistani nation also does not recognize Israel which is a bogus and illegitimate state. .

He said Quds, the first qibla of Muslims, would be liberated alongside all occupied parts of Palestine. Allama Jafari said the Quds Day rallies in Pakistan are a message to US President Trump and all other supporters of Israel that people have refused relocation of the US Embassy to occupied Jerusalem or recognition of Jerusalem occupied as the capital of the Zionist state.


Deputy Hamas chief Ismail Ramzan praised Pakistanis and organizations primarily Palestine Foundation and Azadi-e-Quds Tehreek for organizing a program to express solidarity with the Palestinians. In a message, he said that Palestine does not belong to the Zionists or to Israel. “Palestine belongs to the Palestinians and no one else has a right to this sacred land. Palestine, including Quds and the Aqsa Mosque, would soon be liberated. The Palestinians love the Pakistanis and appreciate their struggle and solidarity for the Palestine Cause ”.
