AJK PM Seeks UN, Global Role To Stop State Terrorism In IIOJK


Mirpur (AJK) – Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi has drawn the attention of the United Nations to the horrific human rights violations and extrajudicial killings of the Kashmiri people by the brutal Indian occupation forces in illegally occupied Indian Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

Addressing various delegations of public officials from various parts of the AJK state, who called him to the state’s metropolis on Thursday evening, he said the occupation forces of India were engaged in the systematic killings of the Kashmiri people and intensified the reign of terror to crush freedom. movement launched by the occupied peoples to obtain their fundamental right to self-determination.

The AJK Prime Minister urged the international community to take note of the atrocities of Indian forces and human rights violations in occupied Kashmir.

AJK Prime Minister said Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan is the true Kashmir ambassador and the beacon of hope for the Kashmiri people and has played a dynamic role in bringing the Kashmir issue to the United Nations. The AJK Prime Minister has made it clear that the Kashmiris will continue their struggle for the realization of their right to self-determination in accordance with United Nations resolutions.

APHC expresses concern over Kashmiri inmates in prisons

The Hurriyat Conference of All Parties (APHC) has expressed concern over the plight of the illegally detained Hurriyat leaders and activists languishing in various prisons across the Territory and India, in illegally occupied Indian Jammu and Kashmir.

According to the KMS, the inhuman treatment inflicted on political detainees in Kashmir had put their lives in danger.

Giving details of the deprivation of basic amenities and atrocities inflicted on illegally detained leaders and resistance activists, he said insufficient medical treatment, unsanitary food, 24-hour confinement in death cells , physical violence, unavailability of library and indoor entertainment facilities had made the lives of inmates miserable.

Welcoming the exemplary firmness of the political detainees, the spokesperson paid rich tributes to all the illegally detained Hurriyat leaders and activists, in particular the prisoners, Aasiya Andrabi, Naheeda Nasreen, Fehmeeda Sofi, Shazia Akhter, Haseena Begum, Saima, Insha Tariq, Hina Bashir, Mehbooba Shafqat, Saiqa Akhter, Aasiya Bano and others.

The APHC spokesperson expressed concern at the growing number of prisons being set up for those illegally and arbitrarily detained in the IIOJK.
